Hello from New Zealand.

I bought a Merida Matts S60 hard tail a few months ago, and after a fair bit of on and off track riding (and seeing how much fun my buddies are having), i've decided i want to go for a full suspension bike.

Basically I can get this full suspension 2011 model KHS XC-604 for $1,499 NZD (~750 GBP).
It looks like a good price when the RRP is apparently $3499 NZD, but who knows how accurate that is.
I need to decide soon, otherwise i miss out on that price.

Full specs and the actual bike are here:

Manitou Minute Expert, Absolute Plus with Compression, Rebound adjustability & Lockout
X-Fusion 02 RL rear shock with hydraulic damping, rebound adjust & Lockout
Mavic rims and WTB saddle
Hayes Stroker Ryde brakes
Shimano Deore XT 10-Speed Shadow rear derailleur
Kenda John Tomac DTC Nevagal XC tyres

I would really appreciate some thoughts on the bike. Who has had experience with this model? Is it a good buy at that price? Are there weak points and upgrades i should take into consideration?

Thanks :)

KHS usually offer very good value for money, but be wary of that rear shock.

    What is the exchange rate?

At the moment it's 1.94 NZD TO 1 GBP, so the bike is around £772.
I've been told there's not much travel in that frame, so i should stick to XC riding. Would it be capable of some smaller jumps? Most of the tracks i go on have a range of jump sections.

It's mostly being used for XC though.

    Cheers
