When regular posters change their avatars I have to do a double take. Most recently it is ITB's new picture that has done this to me on Chat, but I think this is a step too far!

What would Thora Hurd do?
FCN 3: Raleigh Record Ace fixie-to be resurrected sometime in the future
FCN 4: Planet X Schmaffenschmack 2- workhorse
FCN 9: B Twin Vitamin - winter commuter/loan bike for trainees

Annoying isn't it. Avatar recognition is the internet equivelant of face recognition to me so when people change theirs it confuses me no end.

I should come up with something. Undercover Elephant changed his. Was it after the comment that his avatar made someone think he was old(er)?
    I liked his old one.

There was a point after the first xmas drinks and curry at the morpeth where most of the commutering contributors had the same avatar. Try picking your post out of a page full of the same avatar.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

Maybe to protest NapD being banned everyone who wants him reinstated should change their avatar to his for a day?

Rule #5 // Harden The Feck Up.
Rule #9 // If you are out riding in bad weather, it means you are a badass. Period.
Rule #12 // The correct number of bikes to own is n+1.
Rule #42 // A bike race shall never be preceded with a swim and/or followed by a run.

He had a bad crash when racing and some scum was trolling/winding him up. He bit and was banned for what he said.

It's invisible. Just like me in RL generally.

That was a bit excessive, banned for that thread despite him generally being helpful everywhere else.

Well, rules is rules, but if he was banned that is harsh. People like NapD make this forum work.
I would probably have banned the trollers and given NapD a warning rather then banning NapD who had been seriously wound up and was probably on some pretty strong drugs at the time.

+1 Particularly when it is a new member who wading straight in with the trolling that escalated everything in the first place.

I have been trying to load an image of a Tyrannosaurus Rex on a bike as my avatar after some of my posts here and on the Workshop forum where I moaned about my stumpy little arms, but the image is larger than the 10k limit. Pity. Just try and visualise it whenever you see my name, chaps......

Can you not resize the picture?

As my munchkins found out on a visit to the Royal Marines Museum last weekend, I am rendered a total wreck by a snake in a tank on display in the 'Jungle zone'.

I'm sorry but what's a live snake doing on display in a museum!
