Hello - I'm new here

Just thought I'd say hi, and for want of an obvious place this seemed like it
I'm new to the forum, however I'm not totally new to road riding, but have been mountain biking since I hung up my race wheels in mid 90's.
After a job change that gives me more time I'm out on the road bike again and loving it. Currently trying to resurrect my old steel race bike, as the alu monstrosity that I picked up off ebay is killing my body
Any hoo, whilst I'm still getting back into shape and up to decent speed, I am looking for a road club in the north leeds locale that will be gentle on a slower new member (I still remember the pain inflicted by the clubs I joined way back when)
Cheers

Welcome, I'm sure someone in the Leeds area will be along to help, but the link below may help, and from a quick glance there appears to be many clubs in and around the area.

Welcome, I'm also new, and also from North Leeds... I've had too long off serious cycling to be joining a club, but if there's an easy one around I'd be tempted to have a look at it
Steel is a lot more forgiving than alloy... I still miss my old Trek 950 every time I ride my easton tubed MTB
I'd be interested to see who people recommend in this area!Synapse Alloy 105 / Rock Lobster Tig Team Sl0 -

Was it just me that thought 'Blimey - Gil Scott Heron is back already...'?
Probably was...FCN 3 / 40 -

Probably was...
I had the same thought. Though, Bill Callahan wrote it..! (as "Smog")
but the song is special from either Bill or Gil, especially the memorable lines:
Met a woman in a bar
Told her I was hard to get to know
And near impossible to forget
She said I had an ego on me
The size of Texas
Well I'm new here and I forget
Does that mean big, or small
Welcome, mtbboy101.0 -
Thanks for the welcome, and the sensible and indeed the not so sensible feedback
and Fuggler, words can mean anything, but for me it is always gonna be Hello sunday Hello Road0 -
Welcome =D
Glad the bug has bitten once again!0
