Nice bike. Someone should really advise the owner how to lock it up effectively.FCN 3: Raleigh Record Ace fixie-to be resurrected sometime in the future

actually I dont bother locking my bike up in that car park at all.
It's three floors underground and protected by 24 hour security guards and CCTV.
I know nothing is foolproof but I've left my bike unlocked there every day (and over a couple of nights too) for two and a half years.FCN = 40 -
Good habits and all that.
I mean, how hard would it be to distract the guards, disable the CCTV, get into the bowels of the underground car park, cut the lock and escape without leaving any fingerprints/DNA that hasn't got a reason for already being there?FCN 3: Raleigh Record Ace fixie-to be resurrected sometime in the future

The bike in the photo is seriously gross, you need help if you're lusting after that. Don't blame the phonecam, you were p155ed at the time and had your beer goggles on, I think.
It's just a hill. Get over it.0 -
So, you trust everyone that uses that car park. Enjoy buying your new bike with the insurance money. Oh, they don't pay out 'cos it wasn't locked? Never mind.
Seriously, dude, lock your bike. If only for my piece of mind.....0 -
Hi,
Surely coveting rather than lusting... still a Sin, though, so I guess it should be considered "wrong" :-)
Cheers,

Chromed stays and fork - very nice. Stars and bars paint scheme... Not so good, people might think you are a septic.0

The bike you are "lusting" after is so shit I can only assume this is a troll0

I kinda like it. The paintscheme is a bit gaudy and I would change a few things if it were mine, but its got a certain old skool kool.FCN 3: Raleigh Record Ace fixie-to be resurrected sometime in the future

Nice bike - shame about the paint job0

I lock mine up at work purely cos i dont want anyone riding it round, even tho we have a secure car park...
I lust over a girl at work and thats about it :PFCN: 5/6 Fixed Gear (quite rapid) in normal clothes and clips

what a disappointing thread, the title promised so much.....0

I have similar issues with a bike that is locked up in our underground Bike Cage. It's a single speed bike which looks like a bike forSpiderman. I'm not one who realyl likes fixed/single speeders either.
I don't know whats happening to me...
I should try to get a pic... would be funny if the owner lurks on here... :P0 -
I quite like it. Concorde bikes were made by CIOCC using Columbus tubing. Would make a nice chopped, brakeless fixie 8)0

I think i see this on my commute. It is a nice bike.0

I like it !
I have an ageing raliegh in a purple paint job converted to flat bars with orange grips and brake leavers ( I picked up for feck all) and the number of people that have commented and said they like it is quite silly really. It's not a patch on my cube!!Fcn 5

I'm sorry but you clearly have no colour sense - stick to the Cube - they seem to specialise in monochrome0 -
That's Evel Knievel's old commuter.Less internal organs, same supertwisted great taste.0

I'm currently lusting after this:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWAX:IT
But given that I'm looking for a frame for winter club runs and so must have guards it doesn't really fit the bill.
Can someone who lives near my buy it so that I can see it occasionally?Mud - Genesis Vapour CCX
Race - Fuji Norcom Straight
Sun - Cervelo R3
Winter / Commute - Dolan ADX0
