Help!
Does anyone know which helmets have a strap or fitting that goes right round the head? Most I have tried including my current Giro push your head forwards and there is no movement at the front of the helmet. You tighten the back of the helmet and if your head does not fit the shape at the front it hurts :x
Anyone know if there is something like that on the market - preferrably low profile too!
Thanks

Not sure if they stock them in your LBS, but its well worth checking out Kask helmets. The Kask K50 for example has a 'up - down' adjustment system which fits nicely around your swead. I've tried most lids and to date the Kask has fitted me best.0

+1 to check out Kask helmets - they have a dial at the back to allow you to adjust the fitPlymouthsteve for councillor!!0

Or use a buff to correct any pinches.0

Not 100% sure what you mean, but my Catlike whisper plus fits like a glove and is snug. You need to try a few makes on if you can and find one that fits you perfectly.0

I've tried on alot of helmets in search of comfort, most dug into my forehead, although I didn't ave that problem with a giro. The specialized prevail I own now is the most comfortable helmet i've ever owned or tried on. Very light and airy with good head coverage, an adjustable frame inside with about 6 different settings, as well as the well made dial on the back. Its expensive but the best you can buy in my opinion.Pinno, מלך אידיוט וחרא מכונאי0

Go to the shop and try them on. I guess it will be a bit like motorbike helmets - some makes will suit your heads others wont.
Giro suit me perfectly so I always buy Giro for my bicylce.
For motorbikes I can't wear Arai but Shark and Shoei are OK.0 -
+1 for trying some on.
I tried quite a few road-bike lids, some really expensive ones were uncomfortable, and finally settled on a Rudy for no other reason than it fitted brilliantly. Plus it helped that they did a colour to match my bike, but no way would I have risked buying online, I'd have sent at least a dozen back before I was happy.Ridley Orion0 -
+1 for Kask helmets. I have a K10 and the range of adjustment is excellent, as well as it being a really good helmet, available in a variety of colours.0

The Kask C50 is only £99 from Planet X as well.
But basically - try for fit is best. What suits my head may not suit yours.0
