Need advice on Wales 4-day itinerary
I'm looking for advice on trails/trail centres for a 4 day trip in Wales, with 2 days based in Swansea and 2 days somewhere else, maybe Coed-y-Brenin or Betwys-y-Coed or somewhere else.
There will be two of us, both decent riders, fit enough and looking for 4-5 hours riding per day, hoping for all kinds of terrain, technical fast, whatever. I like trail centres but a bit of variety would be nice.
Afan for a day or two days? CyB/ByC/Brecon Beacons?
Where else would you recommend?
Thanks,
Rich

Afan- w2 day 1. 43km iirc. Not really enough riding for 2 days
Brechfa- day 2. About 40 mins drive from afan, gorlech or raven or both :-)
Nant yr Arian -day 3. Can't remember the trail name but it's 35km, or do the 16km one on the way to coed y brenin :-) both great trails
Coed y brenin - day 4. Loads of trails to choose from :-) if you've done the 16km trail at nant you could ride the 10km trail to get warmed up :-)0 -
although its not that far between north and south wales, the roads are rubbish and you'l lose 1/2 a day travelling.
personally i'd do north OR south wales rather than trying to fit both; you can do the other next year.0 -

whilst i agree that if trying to do the whole length of wales wastes a day, between brechfa and nant yr arian is only around 2 hours and then nant to coed y brenin is only around 1hr 40 mins a nice break of a drive if you've ridden in the morning0 -
Nant yr Arian, cli machx, coed y Brenin are all great and fairly close. You really can't go wrong in wales though, loads of brilliant riding to be had0

Thanks for thee info guys . We've done a few trips to Wales before and know what the roads are like. A bit of driving is OK, and I like the idea of hitting a few trails on the way up to CyB.0
