Routing mechanical disc brakes on full length hose mounts

I have a rockrider frame designed for hydraulic brakes, which obviously have full length hoses, so the mounts don't work very well with the rear mechanical disc brake i've fitted, as it has part length hoses. Is the only option to get full length outers - can you recommend some which'd work? or is there a way to use the part length outers? because at the moment, when i pull the lever, the outer just runs through the mount at the top of the top tube, so it just gets all messed up. i was thinking of gluing the outer to the mount, but that seems a bit bodged.

Would this be long enough to have full length outers?

no length listed. no indiacation if the front is shown or not.
But I would not get those crap cables for Mech brakes.
Get some quality stainless inners and outers."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

+1 for good outers. Try some goodridge maybe?A Flock of Birds

Is this good quality, and enough inner, and enough outer for full length outer front and back?Hardcore hardtail:

not meant for a full length outer."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Just get Shimano SP41 XTR, but shop around to find who's got the best price at the moment."Coming through..."0

Id still go for the goodridge:

You'll also need:

That said, Shimano stuff is good too - I still think the goodridge is better though.A Flock of Birds

PS - If you don't have good cable cutters, get some. You need some like these, ordinary wire snips will mangle your brake cables as they are not up to the job.

I borrowed cable cutters from my neighbour ben.
The clarks outer and inner was plenty long enough for full length outers, works fine. Don't see the point in paying £10+ for one inner and one outer when you can get some which work well enough for £3.Hardcore hardtail:
