Wrapping handlebar tape ---neat and smartly !

Any good tips for this; I`m about to fit Fizik dual tape so it has to be done well to look good :) ; I`ve always struggled with neat and even overlaps :( so any suggestions appreciated !

    Check out Park Tools website - full description, piccies (and, I think, a You Tube video) to guide you every stage of the way.

    Also gives tips as to direction to wrap, how to finish it all off properly, etc etc.

    I think the main thing is to take your time, find a good quiet period when you are well rested and patient, keep checking that you have everything even without gaps, etc.

    Mind you, I sometimes do the job fairly quickly and just don't worry too much if it's not perfect.

  • Wrap the bars in some electrical tape first, that way, when you're not completely happy with the first, second and third attempts, you can still peel the thin fizik tape back and start again without it tearing.

    Like I did. See if you can beat my record of four attempts.

    the guy in th evid does the right hand side anti clock wise which means the tape will loosen overtime with a tight grip; best to do lefy hand side = anti clockwise, right hand = clockwise.
