Howdy..

I have only been cycling for 3 month, been trying to get fit. I was 18 1/2 stone 3 months again and I am now a little over 15 stone. Been cycling 3/4 times a week and really started to enjoy it. Saw the cycle ride advertised on a flyer when shopping in Farnham one weekend so decided to sign up. Our first organised bike ride, which we really enjoyed. It was really well organised and very well supported. Will 100% be attending next year.

Being our first organised bike ride and new to cycling we decided to sign up for the 25 mile route and started in the general admission group towards the back. We were surprised when we came in within the 15-20 top elite group.

Think we ended up doing it in 1 hour and 36 mins, would have probably been much quicker if not held up by traffic, next time will ride with the elite riders but was good fun filtering.

Heres the video..

We came across this event when we were on our club ride yesterday... it was all a lot more strung out though than the first part of your video shows. Post up the second part when you get a chance.

Dabber - Where did you see the ride? You weren't with you other half coming into the back end of Farnham were you?

Cleat Eastwood - Was a 7 seater / 3 wheeler, some sort of Army thingy

I'm trying to remember where it was... I think around Well, Long Sutton plus (I think) Upton Grey. We never went into Farnham. I think at least a couple of club members were riding in the event itself.

Haven't looked at the your second video but will do a bit later.

On your second video, around 55 seconds in there's a rider repairing a puncture.. he's one of our club members who was entered in the event and was doing the 50 miler.

I recognise the pub at around 3'38" on video 2. We stopped outside (I said OUTSIDE :D ) to allow some of our group to regroup.
