I'm building a bike from a load of old parts, a few second hand bits and a couple of new bits too, for getting to school on, general getting around, and a bit of xc. It'll be lighter than my other bike, and a lot less likely to get stolen too, so i'll be happier leaving it locked up.

Nice little budget build but it they'll still take it if they can. :evil:0 -
It'as pretty much finished, i just need to make final tweaks, and fit the new headset as the current one is worn out and the crown race is missing, but i've put it together anyway for now.

I'd seriously advise stripping the frame back to basics and either polish it douse it with some laquer, or paint it in grey or black... Then, and only then; it'd look quite good0

New forks, new rear tyre, and a stem from my good bike (details have been added to the spec, in my first post):
