SS cog + Chain

just converted an old bike into a SS with spares.

took a cog from a 10 speed cassette but using it with the bikes original chain, which is 6 speed.

appart from a bit more noise than normal (little bit of rattling around the back wheel) will this cause any other problems further down the line?

    You need to buy a SS sprocket for a cassette hub, it will work but you do run the risk of losing the chain, the teeth profile on a cassette sprocket is much smaller than that of a SS sprocket.
    I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.
