Heading to the Cotswolds tomorrow with a few pals for a weekend on the mountain bikes. Never been before and staying in a village called Painswick. Anyone every been and got any trail recommendations?

    Good base.

    To the sw you have Standish wood - official ST runs through it from end to end. At Randwick end there are a few downhils and bombholes to play in.

    Also to SW Maitland wood has a few tracks to play on.

    To the North - head acrooss the Golf course, through Popes wood and few downhill tracks from top of Kites Hill.

    Just to NE of Kites Hill are Buckholt, Buckle and Cranham woods - loads of singletrack, just have a look around. :D
