Lubricating Shimano Sora STi Shifters

Until I upgrade with 105 shifters I am currently running Sora STi's.
Cutting to the chase, should the mechanisms in the levers be lubricated, if so with what ?
My thoughts were to not lubricate, or use graphite so as to not attract and retain dust grit etc.
What say you.
(I guess this question is relevant to the 105's and for that matter any similar gear shift system)

Hey, maybe you haven't been keeping up on current events, but we just got our asses kicked, pal!

if they work ok, I would just leave them alone....0

I suspect they are lightly greased during assembly, so if they are working properly I'd leave well alone. Squirting something in there could do more harm than good.
On the other hand if they have packed up and you have nothing to lose, you could try a squirt of GT85 or similar.0
