Bike hire for Afan Monster ? Help needed.

One of the lads has now decided his bike isn't up to the task of the Monster (fair point it's a 2003 Carrera Vanquish).
We want to hire a bike.

Skyline cycles said "not for an event" the other place in Afan is away on holiday for the next week.

I'm based over by Reading, he's over by Northampton, we don't mind anywhere in them areas, or even 50 miles of them or between us and Afan...

ideas please guys.
