Waterproof (summer) overshoes

It looks like we're in the middle of a tropical summer and I've already been caught out in pouring rain a few times. It is not fun when your feet start making squeegee noises and your toes start freezing.

I have an old set of DHB which are OK for a drizzle but as soon as the real rain comes they get soaked really quickly

The winter boots are going to be an overkill so I'm after a thin, waterproof set that doesn't toast your feet and that is easily to put on/ take off

I should mention that I use MTB shoes on both road and mountain bikes

TIA

I never bother with overshoes in summer. I doubt you'll find a set that is both waterproof and non feet toasting.

Maybe get some merino socks ?

Oversocks to keep your shoes clean.
    More problems but still living....
