Hi All,
I am visiting the Isle of Wight soon as was after any information on cycle routes and cafe stops on the island.
I know of the Randonee route but are there any others between the 60 and 100 mile mark that anyone knows and could recommenda? Are there any roads to be avoided?
Also, any cafe stop recommedations would be great?
Cheers
Martin

I tend to do a figure of 8 style route when I go there. Start at the chain ferry in West Cowes, head down to Freshwater, along the military road to Ventnor, back up the middle to Newport, on to Ryde, follow the coast round past St Helens/Bembridge, go past Bembridge airport, head over the downs all the way to the Hare and Hounds pub and then back to Cowes.
Works out at around about 115km or so. Takes 3h50 or so but with a few nice digs in there to test the legs.0 -
As for cafes on route, there's a nice little one in Bembridge harbour. Sure there are others but it depends if you want to head off route a little bit to find them.0
