I have a Fox 32 RL on my 2011 Giant Trance X2 and looking to change the oil.

According to Fox's technical pages they only list the following:

2010, 2011 F100, F90 & ALPS
(O/B RL & Remote dampers)

FOX Green 10 wt.
Damper 155ml
Spring-side Oil Bath 20ml

FOX Float Fluid
Aiir Chamber 5ml

Does anyone know if those measurements would be ok to use in my fork?

Thanks!

David

Actually, the Fox oil volume chart specifies volumes for the Float. But it depends on whether you have a FIT cartridge or open-bath (O/B).

    27) 2005-2012 FLOAT & ALPS 120, 130 & 140 (O/B R, RL & RLC dampers)

    FOX Green 10 wt.
    Damper-side oil bath
    160.0

    Spring-side oil bath
    30.0

    FOX Float Fluid
    Air Chamber
    5.0

    OR
    32) 2010-2012 FLOAT 130 & 140 (FIT RL & RLC dampers)

    FOX Red 10 wt.
    Damper
    33.6

    FOX Green 10 wt.
    Damper-side oil bath
    30.0

    Spring-side oil bath
    30.0

    FOX Float Fluid
    Air Chamber
    5.0

  • I have open bath. No FIT here.

My shock is not marked as Float model, only F Series RL-11 with 125mm travel.

Fox's website clearly shows a F Series RL model and a different Float model. Both 32mm.
I can clearly see the Float model on the Fox site is not my fork.

Yeah, sorry about that. I have no idea why I read Float when you didn't write it. I see on the Trance X2 spec, Fox F125 RL-11, tapered steerer, QR15, 125mm travel. Unfortunately, I don't know where that fits into the Fox fork lineup and as you say, they don't show it on their oil volumes table. I would think that the guys at Mojo (http://www.mojo.co.uk/) or TF Tuned (http://www.tftunedshox.com/) would know.

OEM forks often differ in spec depending what the manufacturer wants ,
    im assuming there factory fit
as already said give MOJO a bell im sure they will help :D
