removing sticker gunk

need to replace the little stickers that are on the frame that prevent cable rub, have taken them off but they've left thick gunky sticky stuff that i cant get off and dont want to use anything that might damage the frame.

any tips or hints on how to get it off or dissolve it ? frame is carbon and has a very nice paint job that id like to protect !!

Sticker gunk removal stuff fom local signwriter. Comes in cans, spray on, wipe off gunk instantly.

WD40 works too.

Try Blu-Tack. Or just a piece of duct tape. Just gently dab the sticky side of the tape onto the gunk on the frame. I find the sticky stuff sticks better to something else sticky, like the tape or the Blu-tack. Great way to clean this kind of residue off all kinds of surfaces.
