slx back hub

horrible noises coming from my slx rear hub when i'm pedalling its creaking and cracking, sometimes it doesn't engae properly and there is play in the bearings, have tried to tighten the cones up but the play is still there, really annoying as the bike has done absolutely nothing, still on its first set of brake pads, please tell me how to fix it

    read the how to adjust cone and cup bearings on either Parktools or Sheldon Browns webbys.

    you do have some cone spanners dont you?

    Just sorted the problem, the free hub body was slightly loose
