I guess it depends on what wheels you presently ride on.

I've had a pair of 6700 Ultegras for 18 months and completed about 2500 miles on them. I only use them for sportives and audax rides, training rides are on some RS10s, which my Synapse came with. The Ultegras are much stiffer than the entry level RS10s and quite a bit lighter. A friend of mine has some RS80s, which are better all round to the Ultegras, but more expensive.

The Ultegras sit between the two models, and the prices reflect that. They spin very nicely, and will take tubeless tyres, unlike the RS series, although not many riders ride on tubeless, me included.

I've never had any spokes break and they run as true today as they did when I first bought them, so I'm very pleased with mine.

The wheels i am using at present are Mavic rims with Ultegra hubs not sure what the spokes are,
I have been using them for the past few years, the only part that i had to replace was a new free hub.
i have read online that some people experience problems with spokes breaking on the 6700 wheels.
How long have you been using the wheels?
    Thanks

As I said, I've had them about 18 months and ridden over 2500 miles on them without any problems.

I have the Ultegra wheels on my Winter bike and am very happy with them. For the price they are stiff and light, roll very well and have been totally reliable over 3000 miles.

WHS^^^^^ (3 times :D ) keep an eye out at Merlin for them, they seemed to always be best price when I was looking, `specially with their VIP club thing.
