How do I measure a sloping tube?

Hello
Anyone know how I measure the top tube of a sloping frame please? And I assune the seat tube is still middle of crank to the very top of the tube itself? Right where the seat stem emerges.

    The length of a sloping top tube is largely irrelevant. It is the effective top tube length which is important in frame sizing. Effective top tube length is the horizontal length from the centre of the head tube at the point where the top tube joins it, to the centre of the seat tube. This horizontal line needs to be parallel with the ground.

    ...and with a spirit level and a tape measure held alongside might help. Failing that do a search online for your frame and size and chances are the full geometry will be listed somewhere, frame age permitting.
