Carrera Kracken at Glentress
edited June 2011
I recently bought a kracken and im heading to Glentress next week. Planning on doing the red and blue routes. Will my bike be up to it or would I be better hiring a bike from the shop?
It'll spontaneously combust. Something about the air they pump into Halfords' stores getting trapped in the frame tubes and expanding uncontrollably when exposed to real mountain-biking.
Either that, or you'll have a great time and the bike will survive better than you.
I'm probably missing one of these
Commie Meta SL
Santa Cruz Heckler (gone)
On One Inbred (gone)
Ragley Mmmbop (gone)
You know what I mean though, it's not like it's an expensive bike. I certainly wouldn't go on the back route with it.
You'll be fine...wait until you get destroyed by an old guy on a rigid hybrid bike from the 80's!
Hardtail - NOW FOR SALE
I have to agree you do not need a thousands of pounds full suss in carbon with slx and dts and blah blah in order to ride these trails..
Get out there get on the Mtb you have and enjoy it.
20years ago these trails were being ridden by the most basic rigid heavyweight bikes.
The kraken is a very good Mtb....youl be fine
