Best Old Tour de France YouTube Memories
To get us all in the mood, lets post our favourite old TdF clips from Youtube.
I'll start with 1987 to La Plagna - Fignon, Fuerte, Para, Delgado and Roche... What a stage! The chase by Roche and the oxygen debt. Fantastic

Yeah that Cancellara victory was awesome... I think that was the first real time he unleased "the final KM" attack"... he did it again at MSR the next year - but after that I think he became more of a marked man in the final. Awesome clip.**************************************************

Well I think that's most of my memory covered...
Roche V Delgado, Millar goes the wrong way and the Channel4 theme music. The rest is somewhat hazy, though if someone could post something of Sean Kelly in green and Luis Herrera in the polkadots (cue Sherwin-Ligget "the little Colombian...") then I think it'd be complete.
Cheersfor the vids!Warning No formatter is installed for the format0 -

Thanks for that. Loved it. Yates is great... looks like Shane Warne, but great nonetheless.0 -
Talking of Brits in Yellow, is it really 11 years this year since the last time?0

the Merckx on Pra Loup clip which features on that Guardian page got me thinking about one of my favourite youtube clips which is actually of the descent of the Col d'Allos that precedes Merckx's ride up to Pra Loup. This is proper daredevil descending at its best and having ridden the Allos last year I am staggered by hw quickly he drops down what is a really frightening descent. Chapeau!
