Hey everyone

Ive discovered i now have a bent chainset (shimano 2300), and to replace this I've looked at new models which seem to be £40+. So I was wandering, if I scavange the internet and by some unlikely chance, say a 105 model chainset is cheaper; would it be compatible?

Sorry - did some research and found it was the big chain ring thats bent.

Out of common sense, i am guessing this is the 52t over the 39t? Does t stand for tooth?

Yep - you can count them to check.

The chainrings will be easy to replace, and generally decently cheap!

If it is the larger one on the outside, it will most likely be 53 tooth. You can count them, or it will also say somewhere on them what tooth they are.
