University hospital of north staffs

Anyone know if University hospital of north staffs runs a cycle to work scheme yet. May pay for wifeys new bike as thats where she works. :D

    Or at least our NHS area does

    They seem to randomly turn it on & off

    Other NHS organisations use one of the companies that administer the scheme for you, cycle2work maybe.

    Ask her HR dept. But be aware she won't save VAT, so that reduces the savings.

    Shaggy - my local trust uses bike to work scheme, the saving is less than in the private sector as the NHS has some weird vat rule. I looked long and hard at the scheme with my LBS, he reckoned that he had to charge list price for a bike on the scheme, we came to a deal that worked out better (cheaper) than the scheme. I can pm you some more details when I'm back at work if you want em.
