Not sure if this should go in general or here....

But is is cheeky to ask companies to price match, even when they don't say specifically that they do?

Mate, it's got to be worth a try. Whats the worse they can say - No. Can they afford to turn the business down at the moment.

That said, i'm a Yorkshire man so i'll throw the kids into a deal to get a fiver off!
  • I guess. Its just they've gone above and beyond and been really helpful with getting all the info I need and I'd feel kind of bad to go elsewhere now!

But I don't want to spend more than I need to

I would be asking why you didn't go to a place that price matched in the first place?

I always get my stuff matched at Evans, especially if I want to try it 'before' I buy it.
  • never crossed my mind.

Everywhere else was the same price till a shop online recently put a 15% discount on!

If I ever need anything like clothing or accessories that they stock, either website or instore then i get them to price match. Kyle Strait kneepads from £45 to £35, shorts from £70 to £40 etc. This is all from Leisure lakes btw. I'm going to be ordering quite a bit from them soon, over £290 worth of lids and a new hydration pack but if they price match like normal then it'll cost a tiny bit over £250 instead and it means I've got somewhere to take stuff back to easily it if i have problems. I had to take my Kyle Straits back becasue of a manufacuring mess up and they sorted it quickly for me. Great guys.

I see it as, at least they shift some stock even if they don't make quite as big a profit, better than nothing.
