it was never to replace the planet x, the PX was going to be turned into my winter frame. but hey ho will buy a winter frame and fork that can take full guards now

Let us know. I think the Cranks are ace - compact and standard, so you can shove compact on for very hilly sportives !!!

mondrian was my first choice but it was going to be a 12-20week wait. this was my second choice and in stock.

it will be run compact for now, got the compact look chain rings. thought why not get the official matching stuff. just waiting for them to be delivered (next week) and then the build can go ahead.

it comes with a little bag with loads of extras, white jagwire cables, some pedals (which will be sold), loads of other bits and pieces. it also comes with a cover! A LOOK BRANDED FRAME COVER!

All the documents i think were stored in the top section of this case. so no document wallet

The pedal cranks looks like a small bottle of toothpaste with a black lid.

Out of curiosity, why are not keeping the pedals and keeping it all matching?

But it's a Look! I had to change from Shimano SPD SL when I got my 585

I use M520 SPDs on my other bikes.

PS @ Sketchley - yep, that's what it looked like to me! Didn't spot it as being the pedal though. Thought it might be assembly paste or summat!

its a good argument. and those are some incredible pedals but im not willing to sacrifice my knee comfort and the ease of use of using a speedplay pedal. my pedals before my speedplays were looks if it makes any difference.

I'll consider it as i have spare road shoes at home... (in fact i have too many pairs of shoes)

and as for the pedals if you made me a reasonable offer i'd probably accept! But thats to be decided.

Whenever I see a cyclist in and around Barnet/Finchley I wonder if it is someone from on here. Either way, I scalp 'em, especially carbon roadies. A carbon Look is now on my hitlist.
I'll be on a Raleigh Banana fixie. I would tell you that I'm normally wearing a red jersey, but it would probably be better if I describe by rucksack (green and black Rockrider) as that is all you'll be able to see once I scalp ya!!!

haha i rarely commute by bike as i now live and work in finchley. you are more likely to see my on an early morning training ride, an evening training ride or out with the club.

if im on a morning training ride i will be in high barnet/whetstone around 7.45/8.00

evening will be after 5.30 from finchley up to barnet/potters bar

club run from finchley to wherever at about 6.30


Funnily enough its being built by the mechanic at The Cyclestore however we are building it in his private workshop rather than in the store.

And i have met a rider off here before when commuting in the snow last year. Its a small world!

Lol! Ahhh, but do they just match each other or do they match the frame as well?!

I'll have a wee think on the pedals.........don't need them as such (the Keo Max are fine) but.......

@EKE - when you spend as much on a bottle cage as Look charges for theirs, you want the type faces to match

I'm not hating. I'm a cyclist too and I'm nearly always colour coded. The way I see it, if you are going to look like a fool, you may as well look like a colour co-ordinated fool! That thinking extends to typefaces.
