Bit of a strange piece on the BBC website.

What does the picture of the bloke getting a ticket have to do with anything? No explanation of why he got the ticket. Seems a bit strange to me.
Having said that my work computer does block some things for no adequately explored reason so if I have missed something please d otell.

Epic fail from the BBC's London transport correspondent, Tom Edwards, here...Having looked at the figures, one thing stood out. The figures seem to be measured only on bridges, in some cases where the cycling superhighways cross the Thames.
3 days ago, BBC TV 6pm news did an item on cyclists outnumbering motor vehicles in Cheapside, which when I last looked doesn't cross the Thames. Now, if he'd followed the news that his own colleagues were broadcasting...
I wonder how he gets into work.
EDIT: so I wrote to the blog pointing out that the BBC itself had covered the story on 20/6 following an article in the Sunday Times on the 19th. Together with a link to a blog ( http://cyclelondoncity.blogspot.com/201 ... -anti.html ) that quotes the paper, a blog which by the way does not contravene the BBC's guidelines. For a while my post was awaiting moderation. It's now disappeared completely.
I wonder who does his moderation...0
