play in shock...

on my spark recently ive noticed that the actual shock moves from side to side like in a twisting motion anyone have the same problem or know why this is???

    bushings are worn, off to a dealer you go. probably have to order them in, but easy enough to do.

    I would be checking the linkage bushes as well.

    is the shock bush or ball mounted? (rose joints?)

    its the dt swiss one thats ball mounted.....

    thought so.

    this happens when the rotation axis are not all parallel.

    this can be due to worn pivot bearings or just manufacturing tolerances.

    if you have no play in the pivot(s) I would not be to concerned as the balls are doing what they are meant to do.
