I have a trek 1.2 and would like it to shed a pound or two (from it not me) I'm thinking better wheels to lighten the load
Any suggestions welcome

Try some Continental GP4000S or similar and it will start to transform your ride, though you are more likely to make a difference by riding more, getting fitter and losing weight yourself.

I'm going through exactly the same upgrade. Recently put some Mavic Open Sport Rims on 105 hubs fitted with Michelin Lithion tyres onto my 2008 Trek 1.2 and it's transformed the ride. Much less rolling resistance and easier to pedal.

Currently looking at fitting 9 speed with 105 shifters and maybe taking off the triple for a double (which actually I didn't order but the supplier sent the wrong bike to the lbs so I got a triple for double price and saved a bit) as have never used the granny ring.

    New frame should do it.
