R and A are excellent in terms of high end stock choice. Last time I was there they had heaps of high end (and more sensibly) specced Colnagos, Times, Looks and Cervelos. If she is still there talk to the lady, she was a lot nicer and more helpful than the owner who came across as a bit of a twat.

The Toga bicycle shop chain seemed reasonably good as well, lots of Trek and Specialized etc, probably a better bet for anything up to $1000.

As for delivery in to the states I would buy over there instead, its cheaper.
