Autodesk Users
Does anyone use Autodesk at work, if so, what version are you using, and does your company keep up with the subscriptions.. we dropped ours, then Autodesk changed the pricing for upgrades so we are pretty stuffed as it's going to cost a fortune to get back to the latest version.

Got a similar, and thoroghly stupid/annoying problem at work. We have three networked audio workstations, which we keep on the same software version number across all machines to prevent any compatibility issues when opening/saving the projects across all the machines.
However, in their wisdom, the studio manager has decided to only pay the software maintenance fee for ONE workstation. So we now have a major overhaul/update for one machine.
We can't however use it, because we want to retain cross-compatibility with the others. So what we've effectively done is pay for a software maintenance, that we cannot use :roll:0 -
And don't even start me on how you can't save Adobe CS 5 back to CS3 :evil:0
