New Tyres ?

I've been using specialized fatboys for the last 1,000 miles as they were free from a friend. Whilst they are fast enough, the ride quality is pretty poor and I was looking for suggestions for a better tyre to improve the ride. My journey is 12 miles to work and back, country roads, big potholes and crappy road surfaces most of the way.

Any suggestions ?

thanks

How about Continental Top Contact Reflex? They have Vectran puncture protection which is very good and lightweight. They also have a reflective strip to make you visible at night.

Not entirely sure what a SPecialized Fatboy is. Might be a good idea to say whether 26" or 700c.

If we are talking 26" and you want something comfortable and fat, you might want to try Schwalbe Big Apple. I use mine with Slime anti-puncture liners.
