Surfacing northshore/boardwalk - what do you need?

We need some International Standards. Frinstance, people think FC land lacks really narrow skinnies because of health and safety, but it's not that at all, it's a standardisation issue. Canada uses the metric skinny, but we're still on imperial skinnies which are 2.54 times wider.

Once we sort this out we'll know the exact width at which northshore becomes boardwalk.

Also, we should be able to work out some simple equation for height vs difficulty. Like, there's some excellently shonky wobbly northshore off-map at glentress, which I wouldn't ride if it was a metre up because I fall off the edge a bit too much. It's mostly ground level though so the risk is low. Perfects. Whereas if I was going to ride a 5 metre tall bit of northshore, I'd want it to be a metre wide. Does anyone here know any maths? Should be simple enough for a counter.

north shore should be an option , not the main trail if possible. so you have an option in the wet
So shore any day, but if it's really wet you can get real muddy if you like :D

Whats the nobbly stuff called like the one that is now removed from Llandegla. Ive heard a few people call it southshore...I prefered A&E-Shore though

I know the bit you mean. It was just northshore/boardwalk, surely? Llandegla had named that section of train "not shore".
As far as I know, southshore means nothing.

I liked that bit. Was gutted that they got rid.

I have a video somewhere of Northernmonkey falling off it actually.

I think it's only a temporary omission, whilst some forestry work was going on. I keep being told that anyway (even what, 2 years on? )

lol yeah its been a while! It does make sense that, as it hasnt been ripped up, its just the run up and run down thats removed.

Quick update... great response from SingletrAction with some advice on options they'd tried for boardwalk (I'm voting for '"knackerising"'), as well as some useful stuff on working with the FC. A good shout from stumpyjon - cheers!
