pro 3 mileage

what mileage are you guys getting from pro 3 races? I know it will vary greatly however just wanted to see if there was a common point where people looked to replace within a few hundred miles or so.
My current rear has about 800 miles or so and is quite squared off, just wondering how long I can get out of these before getting another pair.

LONG WAY TO GO YET. BUT STICK IT ON THE FRONT AND DOUBLE THE LIFE OF THE PAIR.
Front tyres don't wear out I'd have a guess you still have the moulding hairs on the front tyre0 -
I have swapped mine around and have around 1000 miles out of them.
They have more life in them, but I have taken them off for now as I am not keen on easily they lock up on wet surfaces....back to 4000S and they are more stables as far as I can tell.
I have not been riding like an idiot, but have had a forced emergency stop as a van overtook me on a bend, resulting in a 2 wheel sideways skid!0 -
If you get more than 1500 miles form the rear then you're doing well. One front will probably last as long as a couple of rears though.More problems but still living....0

you don't really want a knackered tyre on the front of the bike. just buy a new tyre, stick it on the front and put the old front on the back...0 -

I reckon I'm close on 2,000 and they still look great0 -
3000 miles on front PR3s - still OK; 3000 miles on rear PR3s- squared off (and one flat). Switched to GP4000s and found them a bit more comfortable but otherwise haven't noticed any real difference.0

The rear Pro Race 3 was cut to shreds within 2 months, fitted in Feb, puncture on first ride, swapped the rear and front tyres around in April but the cuts were so bad I just bought a new set of Continentals. The Michelins had about 800-1000 miles on them. I find I am spending more on rubber for my bikes than I am for my car! Michelins have always been by far the best tyres I have ever put on cars both for long life and handling.0

Check your tyre pressures, I run mine at 105 front and 115 rear.0

yeah keep your pressures high as they like that. should last ages yet.0

I have found these quite prone to punctures, and one has been consigned to the dump due a damaged side wall.
Overall, I am going back to VRed Tricomps as in my experience these give the best balance of ride, speed and durability iin UK conditions.0 -

I've heard the tri comps can be lethal in the wet, how do you find them?0 -
I got 50 miles out of the orange 23mm pro3 on the back of my Orbea
Then I hit a big sharp and it was destroyed
Nice tyres though0
