MTB related translation

Morning all, I am a student doing an MA in Translation Studies and I'm looking for a text of around 8000 words (or two of 4000) for my final project.

I was hoping to do something mountain bike related and wondered anyone had ever come across mountain bike route guides or books (in German or Italian) that they wish had been in English as well. This might have happened on riding holidays in the Alps for example.

I don't usually use forums for my studies but I'm getting desperate and you lot seem to have more knowledge than I thought possible!

If anyone can help, even just with suggestions of where to look, please do!

Just type "MTB" into amazon.de and you get at least 30 books, from technique and maintenance books to route guides. Sorry, can't help more than that.
