Lochs and Glens north route

hi guys,just in the very early stages of planning my next tour,fancy the ncn route lochs and glens north route from glasgow to inverness, just wondering if i could return from inverness via fort william,oban,west coast back to glasgow for the train home.anybody done this route before ?any advice or tips very welcome.
