my bike has developed a rattley squeak, i think its coming from somewhere between the front wheel an the rear wheel i.e i dunno where it is!
the only thing i can liken the noise to is an old shagged out taxi
if i get of the bike an shake it around (the bike i mean) no noise but if im riding an hit a bump etc it does the noise, which to me points at the saddle?
i will go all detective at lunch time to figure it out, any ideas what it could be?

Place bets now!Sometimes parts break. Sometimes you crash. Sometimes it’s your fault.0

mudguards? Mine rattles but only when I take one hand off the handlebars - everything appears tight but I still get this rattle

What flavour jelly bean? I'll only contribute if the prize is worth having. or when I have something useful to add0

I had a annoying rattle a while back. Turned out to be the pump mounted next to the bottle cage. It wasn't shut properly and kept banging against the frame.....--

i will see how it goes tonight an see if i lost my squeakinessKeeping it classy since '830 -
A quick check list:
Check all nipples in both wheels at the hub and rim
check the bearings in hubs, headset and bottom bracket
Check all nuts and bolts.
Noise still there? Do above ad infinitum till noise is no longer there or try some of thisI've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0 -
sorted, i don't know what it was though
checked every single allen key bolt, nut, screw an anything else
nothing was loose but the squeak has gone, perhaps it was a temporary possession by a long dead mouse?Keeping it classy since '830
