Right guys, I got rid of the full suss as there was no way I could justify owning one (absolutely no where to ride it around here, not without driving 100mile each direction) so decided on a XC frame Sette carbon, the one showing the awfull weave pattern  so once here I decided to give it a coat of semi gloss black.......looks quite nice, now onto the components, the drive train is XTR F/R mechs with Yumeya chain, now the bad bit....Truvativ Ruktion chainset and Howitzer BB.
Wheels are Fulcrum red metal and stopping is provided by Avid, up front are some 100mm Rock shox Recon air gold, with white lowers 8)
When funds allow would I be better with an XTR chainset or simply go for an XT, dont get me wrong the Ruktion is a great c/s but a little on the weighty side and I could live with it........any ideas

XTR is a lot of money for little extra, XT or even SLX are far more sensible options IMO. Put the extra money towards new forks or wheels.

Agreed, save the XTR chainset money and spend it on SIDs or Hope hoops instead.

you're painting a carbon fibre frame? Bare in mind this will usually void any warranty you have.....

Did you import the frame, or is someone selling them in the UK?

  • Its an oldish one Hopper circa 2009 but possibly 2008 as it has no internal cable routing, I dont know if you can get them here but I was lucky to find this in a small bike shop in the states, the export duty isnt pretty though when they get here
