Chicken with yellow bean sauce and cashew nuts is one of the most popular chinese takeaway dishes and accordingly Sharwoods and others used to manufacture jars of the sauce to buy a the supermarket.

Then all of a sudden these disappeared and despite there being various different people making oriental sauces there is no yellow bean sauce to be had at any of the big supermarkets.

Anyone else noticed this? Anyone else remotely care!? Anyone know where to get it?

The other thing 'missing' are rice cubes. Like a stock cube that you could add to a pan of rice to make pilau rice or saffron rice etc. Now all you can buy is precooked flavoured rices at stupid prices.

I think your wrong....curry is the most popular dish eaten in the main by chinese men....the yellow bean sauce is mainly eaten by gay chinese men and they are easy to spot as they are slightly more yellow
