This isn't my bike, but this is the horst link. its the round bolt just left and slightly below the QR in this pic. There is not sufficient clearence for a nut on the inside without it touching the rotor, about 3-4mm tops.

Or after re-tapping as you said fit a helicoil theyre easy to do.0 -
Can't fit a larger bolt as there are bearings inside the link.
So can a helicoil work with 9mm of fine thread?0
