I'm looking at buying these Lake shoes which are on sale.

http://www.wiggle.co.uk/lake-cx235c-road-cycling-shoes/

I've read that Lake shoes are a tight fit. I currently use size 44 Diadora shoes & hope someone here can tell me whether a size 45 in the Lake shoe would be the equivalent of a 44 in a Diadora shoe?

Cheers!

Lake do come up small, but it aAll depends on foot width as well - it's impossibe to say one manufacturers shoe in one size is the same as another in a different size. The only way to find out is to try some on, either at a local shop or buy and try (and return if no good).
Carlsberg don't make cycle clothing, but if they did it would probably still not be as good as Assos

Lake are hardly a tight fit.

I take UK size 11 and the two pairs of Lake shoes I've got are size 47.

Ahhh...............you realise size 47 is a UK 12 right?............Which means you went up a size!

Could this be because they were a bit 'tight'

I interpreted the 'tight fit' comment as a generalisation about how the shoes fit. I agree that with Lake shoes you do have to go up a size, but how many other brands of cyclic shoes will match the sizing of your normal shoes/trainers?

The answer for me is none that I've tried.

I have quite wide feet (although not wide enough to warrant wide fit), and the Lake shoes fit better than any other brands that I've tried.

I am size 9 in shoes, 44.5 in Lake CX401. They are not as narrow as Sidis.
