Stage 1, 7km prologue won by HTC's Gretsch. Dowestt cam 3rd.
Stage 2, sprint won by Farrar, dedicating to WW:
Stage 3, sprint won by JJ Haedo. Gilbert got away with a bunch of others late in after coming over the Cauberg to take KOM jersey, then had another dig towards the end.
Stage 4, won by Gilbert who takes over the GC. An 8 man group went clear with Gilbert's teammate De Clerq burying himself to draw the advantage out. The remaining 7 stayed clear for the two 16km finishing circuits and then Gilbert distanced three of those on the uphill finish. Appollonio led the bunch in.
