What's going on with the fork? The legs don't seem to be in line with the steerer tube

no dp1 im afraid it is rather looking like it is a case of non alignment dunno why though if its brand new should be straight im thinking

As far as I know, some Gary Fisher bikes had an unique fork alignment - but that was achieved by havint the offset of the legs relative to the steerer be slightly different to "normal" forks - the fork legs were still perfectly parallell with the steerer tube, just close or further away from it.

Nah, it looks fine there. There must be some barrel distortion in the lens of whatever you took it with, that gives it that weird look in the early photo.

I'd have to agree from all those pics. The steerer doesn't seem to be anywhere near inline with the stanchions :( The bike's lovely other than that. I hope it isn't though and it's jsut the pics

Isn't it just an optical illusion caused by the tapered head tube?

I believe so - but the much earlier picture DOES look wonky as hell - but i think it's a lens issue, like I said.
