Not getting hang of adding photos!Help needed simple terms

Can anyone explain in real simple terms how to add photos ? I am not a computer whizkid. I put a couple of photos on flickr but not getting the hang of getting them to Your Bikes section or any post. Any help appreciated Thanks.

    I did see that and tried it but the photo did not appear in the box only words and numbers which i assumed was a link and not a photo. Am i doing it wrong or does it turn into the photo when it is submitted ?

    flicker is a pain. but yoiu need the text to end in a .image file type like .jpg or .tiff or .png
