The age old question - How do you clean a white vinyl saddle

I've tried glass cleaner, multi-purpose cleaner, soap & water, shaving foam (worked well on the white bar tape). So what's the definitive cleaner for white saddles? Other than buying a black one!

Probably too late but trainer protection spray for shoes helps stop them getting too bad in the first place
If you buy it, they will come...

...up to you and say, you didn't want to buy one of them!!!

You buy a new white one each time it gets dirty.

I was thinking Jif/Cif myself, but I wondered if there was a tried and tested product.

There is a tried and tested product. Cif Cream ;)

I use tha B+Q patio and driveway cleaner as a general degreaser/cleaner. I add water to it in an old spray thingy to spray over the bike and rinse for a quick clean. Use it in an ultrasonic cleaner when doing a proper clean of individual components.

The patio, briveway and brick cleaner I got from Homebase the other day did. I wouldn't want someone to make that mistake! (unless it's someone I'm racing against :D )

It's just a degreaser and about 1/20th the cost of the same stuff in bike themed packaging.

Like petrol then, except you can't use patio cleaner or bike degreaser in your lawnmower.

On most bikes, the saddle is removable. This will enable you to take it off and replace it with one of a more appropriate colour, like black.

Rumour has it that the same thing can be done with the bar tape, if you are unlucky enough to have accidentally purchased a bike with white bar tape.

You could get yourself a nice saddle cover to keep it clean.
