Doing charity ride (110 mile) on roads what is the best/cheapest tyres(slick) for a mtb as I don't want to spend to much money on them for a one off ride

    Schwalbe city jets, fast rolling, reasonably puncture resistant, not to heavy and can be found for between £10 and £15 ea, shop around!
