Rear Cassette issue

Hi all,
I have just replaced a spoke on my wheel and decided that as the casette has to come off (due to being in the same side) i would replace it.
I have since installed and re-assembled..
I put the wheel on the bike without a tyre just to check the alignment of the wheel.. Now when i pedal the bike I can feel resistance about every couple of inches..
If you imagine holding a clock and spinning the hands round there resitance on say 3, 6, 9 and 12.. it does drag but it feels like it goes over a tight baring or something..
Does anyone know what this could be or did I miss something out?
oh ps. its got a new chain aswel. checked my other bike and the pedaling is perfectly smooth!.. spinning the cassette backwards is perfectly smooth also.
Thanks for any help.
Ollie

Could be the bearings in the hub and just by chance you've noticed it now.
If the cassette wasn't fitted properly you would know about it by now so it can't be that.0 -
The brakes rubbing?0

the hub is a? and the cassette is a?"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Shimano hub and the casette is a SRAM, it was a Shimano cassette that the bike shop fitted some time ago, I have since removed this and gone back to the same make/model that was on the bike when I got it new (SRAM PG950 11-34 tooth, 9 speed cassette on a Trek 6000)
Supersonic - Brakes are not rubbing or the mounts (disc) this was the first thing I suspected!
Could it be that the rear derailleur was adusted to acomodate the shimano cassette and is now not setup correctly for the new casette?

well every time you change cassette you need to check the mech as often things need adjusting.
is the cassette tight or lose?"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
