London to Brighton Charity Ride - Entry on day?

Hi,

Anyone advise if it's possible to enter the London to Brighton on the day? Couple of colleagues a riding it and i quite fancy it.

    You can ride without registering...sure.
    It's all on public roads with some nice refreshment stops thrown in.

    Usually sells out completely... Ive tried before..Think I read once on a cyling forum theres about 20000 official riders + 7000-8000 unoffical....Main prob doing DIY is getting your bike back at the end of the ride..i would expect Offical riders get offered transport back assistance they pay extra for and that trains dont allow bikes on em..
