Routes for MTB in/near Huddersfield?

So im new to Mountain biking and me and my mate are looking for places to explore and enjoy in out home town before we start to go elsewhere commuting. any ideas of any good off road routes in Huddersfield or near to huddersfield? Thanks

Depends which side of Huddersfield you mean, there are plenty of places i know of at the Halifax side of the town, Scamonden/Pole Moor etc ....0

You could follow part or all of the awesome Colne Valley Mountain Bike Challenge route. Be ready for some climbing though...
